so much LOVE!!

I'm back again - 2nd post of the day!!!!! My hubby had the day off today and it's raining so all his yardwork is on hold again!! Yay for me!! That means I get to sneak into my craft room while he plays with the girls! :)

I was looking at the Pink By Design Community this morning and I was totally inspired by their current challenge. If you haven't yet, you really need to head over there to check out the message boards!! AND the newest challenge!! Here is what I came up with...

Not very often can I say I LOVE how my layouts turn out, but I am soooo happy with this one! It could have something to do with the picture, it's my fav picture of all time!!!

I cut out the flowers on with my Cricut and then stamped them with sentiments, then inked the edges for a vintage print look.

Details...
- flowers are cut from Cindy Loo. I only cut 2 layers of the flower, the biggest layer and the small black flower on the inside. Then I stamped them using the All Girl set from Pink By Design, inked the edges using a makeup sponge and regular black ink and added a pearl in the center
- the swirly background square was cut from the Storybook cartridge
- the 'so much love' tag was cut with my paper trimmer and then I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the edge. The sentiment was from the Big Thoughts set by Pink By Design
- pearls, ribbon and paper from Michaels

Hope you like!! I love this pic.... Check out the Challenge on the Pink By Design blog!! Great Prizes being given away!!

Celebrate Sunshine!!

Hi Guys!! What an awesome weekend!! Yesterday I got to watch one of my great friends get married to an awesome guy! Even though it rained on their outdoor wedding, it was a great day and night!

The Challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut this week has inspired me to scrap some pics of Bria from last summer...

This layout AND these pics of Bria are so much more cute in person... for some reason in this pic it makes her look a little pale and sickly...

  • paper is from Mambi stack by Me & My Big Ideas

Masculine Card

Hey everyone! So I actually managed to get some time to work on a small project this morning because my 2 1/2 year old has basically been laying on the couch not feeling well since 5 this morning. I feel bad for her, not feeling well, but it IS a little bit nice to not have her quite as active as she usually is for a few hours.... Here is the Father's Day card I whipped up.

I had no natural light this morning so this is as good as the pictures are going to get... They don't really show the colors correctly but you get the idea.

Not gonna lie, I am so tired of Father's Day cards... I just am not great when it comes to masculine and I am creatively frustrated lately!! I can't wait to start on a sparkly, pretty project!! :)

Here are some details...
  • 3 ties are cut from Simply Charmed at 3" - one is embossed with an argyle cuttlebug folder, one embossed with a candy cane stripped cuttlebug folder, the other one is cut from patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye stack All Boy
  • the sentiment 'always a Father, now a friend' is from Pink By Design All in the Family set (HERE - it's on SALE right now!!)
  • red mat behind the ties was embossed with the Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug folder
  • brad and ribbon are from my stash
I am entering this card into the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday Challenge.

Hopefully be back soon - with something GIRLY!! :)

Hi Everyone!!! I know, it's been a while! :) This has been a super busy week and I am getting prepared for a Farmer's Market on Saturday so I haven't gotten many new projects done. I whipped up this card the other day and haven't had a chance to post it yet.

It's wedding season so I thought I should get moving on some wedding cards!!

Here is a side view/close up trying to show the champagne glasses are on popdots.

  • the circle in the background is stamped with a stamp I got in a clearance bin a while ago...
  • the black 1/2 circle in the background was a circle cut @ 4" and the cut in half with my paper cutter, I also embossed it with my Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder

Happy Sunday everyone!! We're having the laziest day around here... Cam, my hubby, was a groomsman in a wedding party this weekend so we were pretty busy. I think we'll just hang out around the house all day!!

I'm FINALLY getting a chance to post a project! Seems like it's been a while! Here is a quick little card I made for a teacher...

I just got the Celebrate with Flourish cart from Wal-Mart the other day and I love it!! I wanted it for a while but I thought the Lite carts were a little overpriced... Finally gave in because I liked the Father's Day cuts on it - glad I did! :)

  • the background was plain white paper, stamped with my Peachy Keen Medium Polka Dot stamp and embossed with teal Gelly powder

Somebody Pinch Me!! :)

Hoooooly smokes... Guess what?! So, there was a Design Team Call for Pink By Design recently and I thought I would apply since I LOVE their stamps (and their whole company!!).  To be totally honest, I didn't really think I would get choosen because there are sooo many talented ladies out there who I knew would be applying. When I got home tonight (my hubby is in a wedding this weekend and rehearsal was tonight...) and checked my email I almost fell off my chair!!!! I am now a member of the Pink By Design Team!!!! WOW!! Let me just say I am soooo happy and excited!! And a little nervous too! I hope I live up to expectations and don't disappoint! There is so many amazing, talented ladies on this Design Team.

Not only was tonight the announcement for the Design Team but it was also the June release!! Check out the Pink By Design Store for all the new stamp sets!!! All their stamps are so unique and fun!!

Redemption???

Hi guys!! SO after staring all day at the card in my last post (earlier in the day) I feel a little embarassed... What a crappy card! I felt I had to redeem myself so here is the card I came up with!! I think it's a little better!!

I love this sentiment, it's so true!!! And perfect for my hubby, he's such a great dad...

I am entering this into the Pink By Design Challenge!! Yes - they have challenges now! Exciting, I know! :) They are also having another stamp release this week! I love seeing what they come up with!

Here are the details for this card...
  • golf clubs were cut from Celebrate with Flourish - a new cart I picked up at WalMart the other day and I am sooo happy I did! I love it! (I think I love everything...)
  • the sentiment is from Pink By Design Our Fathers set
  • all the paper is Recollections from Michaels except the argyle piece - it's from Complete Boy by My Mind's View
  • brads are Recollections and ribbon is also from Michaels
  • I inked a few pieces using my Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo
  • used Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug folder for the cream layer to add some texture to the card
I have a couple more projects I have been working on that I would love to show you so hopefully I can find some alone time tomorrow to post those on here! Have a great night! :)

Tall As You, Dad!!

So I am realizing that these last two weeks I have been cranking out the projects in my craft room like crazy!! Noone has been sick, the girls have been sleeping well, we haven't had a hectic schedule.... I hope it stays like this for a while, I'm quite enjoying all this time in my craft room!! :)

I've had this idea for a card since I got my Our Fathers sentiment set from Pink By Design... I knew I wanted to use the giraffe along with this stamp but the latest Peachy Keen sketch challenge gave me the inspiration for the layout of the card.

Here are the details...
  • Card is A2 sized (letter size cardstock cut in 1/2 and then folded in half)
  • giraffe is from Create A Critter cut @ 4", it's mouth is from the Peachy Keen Character Face Part set and I hand drew the eyes (couldn't find an eye stamp small enough...). I inked him a bit so the yellow wasn't so bright
  • ribbon is from Michaels and I frayed the end a bit to give it a bit of a rough look so it would go with the inked look of the card
  • 'No matter how tall I get, I will always look up to you' sentiment on the inside of the card is from Our Fathers by Pink By Design
  • I embossed the little square under the giraffe using a Cuttlebug folder - sorry can't remember which one... - and I inked around it with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
  • I also inked the cream layer under the polka dotted paper with the same ink
  • I also added the usual stitching and details with my white gelly roll pen
Definitely not my best work but I still think it's cute. I'll be back tomorrow with another project!! :)
