Bria's THREE!!!!

I cannot believe my first little baby is three today... It's so exciting, and sad at the same time! I love experiencing all the firsts with her but at the same time, it's going by too fast!! Here is a pic of her when she was only 6 months old...

And here is my big three year old, today, at her birthday party!!

And decorating her cookie lollipop....

Here is the card I made for her, which was not at all how I had pictured it in my mind...

To be totally honest, I was pretty disappointed with this card. :( I would call it  FLOP. But, oh well!! I am looking forward to getting back into my craft room and creating something that turns out great!

Sorry... No details yet again today. The girls are napping and I am off to clean and prepare for the "family"   birthday party and supper tonight!

Today is my day to post over at the Pink By Design blog!! Head on over for a post about stamping with bleach. It can get a really neat result (check out the barn)!!! Head over and check it out!!! :)

We took the girls and my brother's nephews to a corn maze a couple weeks ago. They LOVED it! There was a petting zoo, rides and so much more. Here are the pics from that day that fit into this layout...

If I have more time, I'll post all the details later on today!!

World's Best Husband

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****

Good morning!! I have yet another little quick card to show you all today. If you saw my haul video from last week, you'll remember the atlas that I picked up. This card was the first idea I had where I could use a page from the atlas. Check it out...

I used My Mind's Eye paper for the striped background. I use a page from the atlas for the world and cut it in a circle shape using my Fiskars shape cutter. Then I used Vintage Photo to ink around it (as I did with everything else on this card as well...). The plane came from Mickey and Friends and the tag was from Tags, Bags, Boxes & More. The sentiment on the tag is from a combination of  'World's best dad' (from Our Fathers by Pink By Design) and 'husband' (from a set by My Pink Stamper).

I promise I have some more interesting projects coming!! ;)

Find Joy Everyday

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****

Hi! Today I am posting a quick card that I made for a fellow crafter who was in a car accident recently. She was let with some very serious injuries and is on a very long road to recovery. Just thinking about what has happened to her makes me really appreciate everything I am lucky enough to have in my own life...

Hopefully this will put a little smile on her face.

I used Cindy Loo for the tree, inked it with Vintage Photo distress ink and added some glossy accents to the berries. I used some twine from Pink By Design and a button that I picked up from a thrift store. The sentiment is from the Enjoy the Journey set. The pearls are Recollections from Michaels. I used a Martha Stewart lace border punch and a white gelly roll pen for details.

Hope you like! I am working on a really cute layout for my PBD post on Monday, can't wait to show you guys!! Have a great Thursday!!

For goodness steak...

Hi out there!! I have a MANLY card to show you today!! Not very often do I work on anything masculine. Probably because I don't really like to... ;) My aunt asked me to make a card for her to give to my uncle for his birthday. This is what I came up with...

I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. Hopefully my aunt agrees! I also made another card (I'll probably show you that tomorrow...) just to give her a couple options.

I love how the steak looked in the end. Yummy. :)

For this card I used the From My Kitchen cart for the Grill and for the steak. I inked the steak with Vintage Photo and Worn Lipstick Distress inks.  I cut the tag from Tags, Bags, Boxes & More and inked it with Vintage Photo also. The patterned paper is from the Playtime stack by DCWV. The sentiments were from Take the Cake ("Smile, it's your birthday") and Kitchen Puns ("For Goodness Steak"). My twine was also from Pink By Design. I also used pop dots to give the card some dimension and a white gelly roll pen for some doodles.

Hope you like! Be back tomorrow! :)

Butterfly Lullaby

Hi!! If you watched my haul video from a couple days ago, you saw the Gabrielle kit from BoBunny that I recently bought. It is soooooo pretty and I couldn't WAIT to get into it! This is the first layout I came up with using the kit....

It didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, but it's still cute... I wish I would've done something else with the title... So picky! :) (sorry for the blurry pic too....)

I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch to make the butterflies (I think I am getting addicted to that punch...). I actually used the front page in the kit (part of the packaging that showed all the patterns of cardstock that came in that package) to punch the butterflies out of. I didn't want to ruin a bunch of 12x12 pieces of cardstock just to punch one butterfly out of each one. I added some tiny little pearls from Michaels to the butterflies. I also used some of the lace that I picked up from the thrift store in the background.

On the dark brown piece of paper in the background, I used a Martha Stewart border punch along the edge. The 'Beautiful inside & out' is from the All Girl set by Pink By Design. I used Worn Lipstick and Vintage Photo distress ink around the edges of a lot of the pieces on this layout.

I hope you like! :) I have lots of projects in progress to show you guys! And also LOTS on my to-do list! (Isn't there always?! ;))

Horsie Hello

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****

Hi Everyone!! I have been working like crazy to get a few projects done so that I can schedule some posts while I am away for a couple weeks. So far it's going good, I hope it keeps up!! I have a lot of ideas brewing in my head for projects, especially layouts, so wish me luck in finding the time - and energy! :)

Here is one cute little card I wanted to show you...

There is a rodeo in town this this weekend so I was inspired by that. I used Create A Critter for the horse and horse shoe. The background was stamped with my Paisley background stamp by PBD, using a Versamark Watermark ink pad. I also inked the edges and bottom layer of the horseshoe with black ink. The 'Hello' sentiment (as well as the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment on the inside) is from the Big Thoughts set by Pink By Design. I used my white gelly roll pen to add some details. And that's it! Pretty simple! :)

See you all tomorrow!!! Have a great Monday! :)

Robot Birthday!

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****

Hi! Hi! Hi! Today I have a a card and bag set for a little boy to show you!! Bria and Brittyn went to their little buddies' combined 3 year old party! It was so cute! There were 8 kids under 3, so it was a little "hairy" at times!

Unfortunately the colors didn't photograph great... The orange looks kinda funny on here..

I used the robot from Boys Will Be Boys (cut @ 3.25"). I embossed the grey layer with a distressed stripes cuttlebug folder and added a silver brad for a button. I used my Martha Stewart border punch for the grey border and the spots and dots cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the orange layer. The sentiment 'Happy Birthday' was from the Big Thoughts set by Pink By Design.

Hope you like!! I have the card I made for the other little birthday boy to show you tomorrow! I'm also working on a big haul video for you all!!

In all that has been going on this last month, I have totally forgotten about my 350 follower givevaway!!! Check out the link at the top of this post and spread the word!!

Hello!!

Hi Everyone!! I'm sorry I haven't been posting very consistently these days!! There has been so much going on around here and my nephews have been here for the last two weeks. I DO have a project post for you tomorrow though!!! And I have lots of things I would like to get done to show you, it's just a matter of finding the time!! I ALSO want to catch up on a lot of your blogs!!

The next three weeks are going to be crazy for us! They will be filled with birthday parties, stagette's and me making plans for our family holiday in early September!! We are taking the girls to Disney World!!! YAY! It's a dream come true for me!!!! We're actually going there to look into buying a vacation home near Disney! Now THAT is actually a dream come true for me!!!! I LOVE Disney, and the thought of having a home in Florida is super exciting!!! I'm trying not to get my hopes up, since nothing is guaranteed.... But we still have a holiday to look forward to! And we leave the day after I get back from a weekend stagette for my best friend! Can you tell I am sooo excited for the rest of the summer? :) Anyways, I'll be back tomorrow!! And hopefully the next day too! Have a great rest of the day!!

Brittyn's ONE!!!!

Hey everyone!!! So August has been (and will continue to be) one CRAZY month around here!!! Tuesday was Brittyn's FIRST birthday!! So much fun! To top it off, yesterday my brother and sister-in-law had their fourth baby!! After 3 boys, they got their little girl! :) We went to meet her yesterday and she is ADORABLE! Lailah Rose is such a little doll.... Since my brother's wife has been really tired leading up to the delivery, her boys have been staying at my mom's and our houses (my brother lives 2.5 hours away from us). So we have been super busy with those little boys plus my busy girls.

I haven't had any time at all to work on any projects, so I thought I would share some pics from Brittyn's Birthday and some of the fun days we've had lately!

After cleaning up, we went outside to burn off some energy!!

Our very tired looking family after the crazy day...

We took the girls and one of my nephews to West Edmonton Mall for some fun rides after they had to sit in the passport office for hours earlier that day, waiting to get our passports...

Such a brave little girl!!!

So those are just a couple things that have kept us busy lately. Unfortunately, I don't think things are going to be slowing down at all for the rest of this month!! Now it's time to start gearing up for Bria's two birthday parties!! I'll hopefully be back soon with some projects!! :) Have an awesome day!!

Princess In Training

HI!!!! It's been a long time! :) I decided to take a small breather from posting much this week since this past month was so crazy! My nephews have been here visiting as well so I have been enjoying time with all the kids and haven't done much crafting. I HAVE done some crafty shopping though... I was trying to make a haul video (my first video!!) last night but things were just not going my way... I can't find my tripod and the memory card in my camera decided to corrupt! Hopefully soon I can get a video of all my great findings for you guys!

It's Brittyn's very first birthday on the 9th so I made her up a card yesterday. Her birthday party is going to have a Baby Disney Princess theme.

I have only ever made a couple shape cards and I wanted to try one for the Peachy Keen Challenge this week. I got the card base from Birthday Bash. I embossed the cream layer with a dotted Cuttlebug folder. The Pink swirls in the background came from the Storybook cartridge. The cut was a square and I just glued it onto the cream circle and trimmed off the excess. The card base is misted with Pearl Glimmermist. In person it has such a beautiful shimmer to it. The baby was cut from Baby Steps, and her crown was from Once Upon A Princess. Her cute little face is from the Wide Eyed Kids set. I stamped her onesie with the medium dotted stamp by Peachy Keen. The scalloped oval for the sentiment was cut from Gypsy Wanderings and the 'Princess (in training)' was from a Scrappy Mom's set. The ribbon and bling are both from Michaels.

I hope you like!!! Brittyn really is a little princess so this card really suits her!!

I have a couple other pieces of news to share!! :) A couple weeks ago my layout was randomly picked as the winner of the EAD Designs Color Challenge!! I cannot wait to go shopping in their store, they have the cutest stickers!!!

I was also picked in the Top 5 for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday Challenge!!! I was soooo excited!! This is the first time I have been choosen based on talent, and not just a random pick!!!

Anyways, I hope to get back into my craft room soon! My sister in law is due to have a little baby girl any day and I need to get her a card and a bag!! PLUS both of my girls have birthdays within the next few weeks that I need to get ready for!! Whew! I have a lot to do! Better get at it! :) Have a great day!!!

Vintage Layout

Hello!! I thought I would post my layout that was on Pink By Design yesterday in case you didn't have a chance to get over there to check it out.

There are a few ladies on in the PBD "family" who have totally inspired me to get a little more into vintage. The title, 'Brittyn' was cut from Alphalicious, inked and spritzed with a dusty rose glitter mist that I made. I used PearlEx and a little water in a little spritzer to give the title a pink sparkle.

The butterflies were cut from Gypsy Wanderings and I used my gypsy to hide some of the details on the wings of the butterfly. I added some Recollections pearls and inked them with Tim Holtz distress ink. The ribbon is from Michaels, and I inked it also.

The rose 'picture' was the Roses stamp (PBD) and I colored it with watercolor pencils. I then used a paintbrush to blend the colors. I used the same Vintage Photo ink to ink around the edges. I used a EAD stitches sticker along the bottom. The 'Moment in time' stamp is a combination of a sentiment from Timeless Pieces and Labels. I also used my Martha Stewart lace punch along the bottom of the cream layer.
I hope you like! Hoping I can make it into my craft room tonight, I have some birthday invites to get making!!!
