Bunny Hugs!

Hey everyone!! Today is my day to post over on the Jaded Blossom blog and I have a project that is NOT Christmas related!! I have been making Christmas themed crafts for months and I needed to make something with more of a Spring feel...

I wanted to create a little scene using this fun little treat box. I found a piece of patterned paper that had some clouds and cute little birds on it, cut it down to 2"x3" and slid it into my treat box along the back side. The I added my sweet little Chibi kid dressed as a bunny from SVG Cutting Files on the front of the box using a foam sticker.

I cut fun 'flower' shapes with my Candy Charms and Banner Dies and then used the Forest Animal Candies stamps to add cute little sentiments onto my Starburst candies.

Here are all the fun goodies I used to make my treat....
- Jaded Blossom Candy Charms and Banner Dies
2"x2"x3 Clear Boxes from Jaded Blossom
- Peachy Keen In the Garden Face Assortment Stamps

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons DT Day!

Hey everyone!! It's Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons DT day!! Of course I have another Christmas project to share... I'm pretty sure this will be the last one!! Hopefully!! I am getting tired of Christmas projects...

I thought the little turtle in the Birthday Critters cutting file set would be perfect for a tag on a box of turtles I was giving away as a gift.

I used components from a couple different cutting file sets to give my turtle some Christmas spirit. Then I printed him out and added some details with a white pen, glossy accents, etc.

Here is what I used to make my turtle tag...
- Candy Cane Trendy Twine
- Jaded Blossom Merry & Bright stamp set
- glossy accents

Now head on over to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog to check out more projects from the Design Team!

If you missed my projects this week here is the highlight of it....
MONDAY
TUESDAY

I decided to make a fun set of shaker birthday cards!!

I used the masking technique to pick and choose parts of the Birthday Treat Tag stamps to use as sentiments on my cards.

I put together a quick little tutorial on how I put these together!!

1. Start by cutting out the following layers with cutting machine:
- base (which you will stamp)
- acetate layer
- top 'frame' layer

2. Using two sided foam tape (NOTE: make sure the width of your foam tape is smaller than the width of your top 'frame' layer, otherwise the tape will show after you assemble your shaker!) make an outline around the outside of the base layer. Make sure the tape pieces in the corners are perfectly flush to make sure no glitter/sequins can escape!

 3. Once you have a border of foam tape around your base layer, peel the backing off the tape and carefully add the desired amount of sequins, etc inside the foam tape.

4. Adhere the acetate layer on top of the foam tape.
TIP: If you are using fine glitter it may stick to the acetate due to static... One way around this is to use a dryer sheet and rub it over the acetate. I have never tried one, but I think an embossing buddy (from Stampin' Up) will work in the same way...

5. Add your 'frame' as the final layer on your shaker.

6. Shake and enjoy!! :)
